What is Dead Shot?

Dead Shot is a permanent mini-game event in Whiteout Survival. Each stage has 12 targets, and each tap reveals items that affect your chest rewards.

Those targets can reveal:

  • 2 Chest Keys: obtaining both opens the chest and ends the stage
  • Point Upgrades: collect 2 to increase chest quality (up to 3 times)
  • Point Boosts (+1): increase the final number of chests you open

Your goal is to collect as many upgrades and boosts as possible before accidentally finding both keys. Higher quality chests yield better rewards, so avoiding the second key is essential.

FrostPeek is a community tool for tracking key positions to see if patterns exist. It's part strategy helper, part fun experiment; either way, you'll learn something about the game.

How Key Prediction Works

Many players suspect that key positions in Dead Shot are not purely random; they may appear in linked pairs where the first key's position influences where the second key is placed.

FrostPeek is a community tool for testing this hypothesis. By recording where keys appear across many games, we can build a dataset to identify patterns (if they exist) and calculate probabilities. The data is displayed as a heatmap:

  • Red tiles: high probability. The second key is very likely here. Avoid these.
  • Orange/Yellow tiles: moderate probability. Check these if red tiles are empty.
  • Blue tiles: low probability. Safer to tap for upgrades and boosts.

Using FrostPeek

1

Find the First Key

Play Dead Shot normally until you uncover the first key. Note which tile it was on.

2

Check the Heatmap

Open FrostPeek and tap the matching tile position. The heatmap instantly shows probabilities: blue is safe, red means danger.

3

Avoid Red Tiles

Return to the game and tap blue tiles to collect upgrades and boosts while avoiding the second key.

4

Record the Result

After the round, log where the second key was. Your data improves predictions for the entire community.

Tool Features

Probability Heatmap

Color-coded grid showing the statistical likelihood of the second key's position based on games recorded by the community.

Community Database

Every recorded game contributes to the shared database. More data means more accurate predictions for all users.

Realtime Updates

New game data is instantly reflected in the probability calculations. The heatmap improves as more players contribute.

Mobile-First Design

Built for use alongside the game on your phone. Tap-friendly interface with large touch targets for quick lookups mid-game.

When the first key is found at position 2 (top row), the heatmap displays the probability of the second key being at each remaining position. In this example, there's a 32% chance at position 8 and 18% at position 11.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does FrostPeek guarantee finding patterns?

No. FrostPeek is a data collection tool that calculates probabilities based on recorded games. Whether key placements follow predictable patterns is still being investigated; that's what we're trying to find out. It's all in good fun: a community experiment to satisfy our curiosity about the game.

Why do I need to sign in?

Account registration helps prevent spam and maintains data quality. Only verified users can contribute game data, ensuring the predictions remain accurate for the entire community.

Is this tool free?

Yes. FrostPeek is completely free to use. There are no premium features or subscriptions.

How can I help improve predictions?

After each Dead Shot round, record where both keys were located. The more games our community logs, the more accurate the probability calculations become for everyone.
